MEP Inspector

Role Overview

MEP Inspector at Nova International General Contracting, UAE. Responsible for inspecting and monitoring MEP-related infrastructure and external works undertaken by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and authority requirements.

Role Purpose

To inspect MEP installation works, monitor subcontractor compliance, and ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated external infrastructure meets approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and authority requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Monitoring

• Inspect MEP installation works and monitor subcontractor activities.
• Supervise inspection of electrical, lighting, telecommunications, and associated external MEP infrastructure works.
• Verify installations against approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, installation methods, and compliance with approved requirements.

Quality & Defect Management

• Identify defects, clashes, and non-compliant works and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation.

Coordination & Approvals

• Coordinate inspection requests and approvals with the Consultant.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, road, utility, landscape, and other disciplines.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities as required.

Project Delivery

• Support final inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning, authority approvals, and handover.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong site inspection, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
