Key Responsibilities

Counselling and Clinical Services

• Deliver individual and group counselling sessions to address mental health concerns, emotional distress, and personal development needs.
• Conduct initial assessments and mental health evaluations to determine appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and presenting concerns.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards in all counselling interactions.

Prevention and Wellness

• Design and deliver psychoeducational workshops and awareness programs on mental health topics.
• Promote mental health awareness and stigma reduction across the university community.
• Develop preventative mental health initiatives and wellness programs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students requiring mental health support.
• Coordinate with external mental health professionals and community resources for referrals and specialized care.
• Liaise with university administration on mental health policies and student welfare matters.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and case records.
• Prepare reports on counselling services, outcomes, and program effectiveness.
