Role Purpose

Perform inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities and construction sites to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements and project specifications, verify material and equipment handling, monitor contractor quality systems, and document findings through formal reports and deficiency notices.

Key Responsibilities

Inspections and Testing

• Perform "Hold", "Witness" and "Surveillance" inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements and project specifications.
• Inspect material and equipment to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at Saudi Aramco facilities and/or construction sites.
• Witness on-site and off-site material and installations tests for compliance with Saudi Aramco standards.

Contractor Oversight

• Monitor Contractor's Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
• Review and evaluate the Contractor's Quality document submittals.

Documentation and Reporting

• Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
• Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Report (EDRs) as needed.
• Report findings in the required format.

Professional Conduct

• Work safely during inspection activities and advise others to work safely.
• Maintain confidentiality requirements in each activity during the service period.
• Operate to the highest standards of ethics in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.S degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in the relevant inspection discipline, OR two (2) years of industrial/technical College Diploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification required.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international standards, including knowledge of API 570.
