Role Purpose

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will create drill bit designs and manufacturing packages while partnering across product management, operations, manufacturing, and technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Create drill bit design and manufacturing packages utilizing 3-D modelling and data management systems.
• Select engineering techniques and utilize analysis tools to solve problems and make sound design recommendations.
• Drive consistent usage of product design standards and support updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Interface with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology groups to improve product performance and process efficiency.
• Document and share lessons learned with cross-functional groups.
• Support Manufacturing with problem solving and issue resolution.

Compliance & Standards

• Conduct all activities in line with non-negotiables and applicable processes for HSE, Quality, Legal Compliance and Cultural pillars.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 2–5 years of experience in drill bits, preferably in design.
• Familiarity with mechanical component designs and applied methods.
• Awareness of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) principles.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience with 3D CAD systems.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written.
