Role Purpose
Ensure that all materials used in construction projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements through rigorous assessment, testing, inspection, and coordination across engineering disciplines and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Review & Assessment
- Review project technical specifications, test codes and standards, drawings, and bills of quantity to identify and determine quality and engineering criteria, workmanship and testing requirements.
- Assess that proposed project materials are in line with specific project requirements.
- Propose alternative suitable materials and appropriate tests.
- Select the most appropriate combination of materials for specific purposes taking into consideration cost implications.
- Advise on inspection and test requirements of materials during usage.
Support & Guidance
- Provide technical support and guidance to site staff in matters related to civil construction materials, their selection, application and testing requirements.
- Advise the Project Team on problems regarding materials either during production process or within the construction process as a result of monitoring control of materials.
- Assist construction personnel to identify problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to materials.
Testing & Verification
- Develop pressure test strategy in discussion with various engineering disciplines.
- Test and measure finished products, components or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
- Inspect material delivered to site and manufacturing factories for permanent construction.
- Witness with Client all critical verification points on site and provide coordination for all quality issues for conformance to requirements related to materials.
Quality & Documentation
- Monitor the implementation of Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans related to materials.
- Ensure all necessary quality records are generated in a timely manner for all materials.
- Raise punch lists for incomplete or defective work related to civil materials.
Materials Management
- Manage stocks according to Manufacturer's recommendations.
- Organize the bill of quantity.
- Maintain close coordination with Stores regarding materials deliveries and distribution to concerned users.
Compliance & Operations
- Follow and implement all instructions mentioned in the Operations Manual.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- BEng or equivalent in any relevant discipline.
- 5-10 years' experience in Oil & Gas Project; ADNOC experience will be an advantage.

- Computer literate.
- Proficient in English language.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
