Role Overview
Material Engineer (Infrastructure Project Experience) with Egis Group, based in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The role ensures all construction materials comply with project specifications, municipal standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Purpose
To evaluate, approve, and monitor construction materials for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, Abu Dhabi Municipality standards, and quality requirements. The role bridges communication between consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors while maintaining rigorous quality control and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Material Evaluation and Approval
- Review, evaluate, and approve construction materials for infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and submit material approvals, technical submittals, and related documentation.
- Ensure all materials used on-site meet approved specifications and quality standards.
Coordination and Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding material specifications and approvals.
- Support project teams in resolving material-related technical issues.
Quality Monitoring and Testing
- Monitor material testing activities and ensure compliance with project requirements and Abu Dhabi Municipality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks as required.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain records of material approvals, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Material Engineer on infrastructure projects in the UAE.
- Previous experience working on Abu Dhabi Municipality or Al Ain Municipality infrastructure projects is mandatory.
- Experience with roads, utilities, drainage, landscaping, and other infrastructure projects within Abu Dhabi Emirate.
- Experience working with consultants, municipalities, and government authorities in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction materials, specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with municipality approval processes and material submittal procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
