Role Overview

Marina Supervisor - Marina Operations at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport. The resort, set to open in 2027, will be an integrated resort featuring 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, beach club, multiple pools, spa, salon, shopping promenade, and events center.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. The resort will offer comprehensive hospitality, dining, entertainment, wellness, and recreational facilities delivered to world-class standards consistent with the Wynn brand.

Role Purpose

Oversee the daily operation of the marina and ensure the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of marina services. Lead dock operations, supervise marina team members, coordinate vessel movements, and support exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Vessel and Dock Operations

  • Supervise the safe and efficient delivery of daily marina operations, including vessel arrivals and departures, berthing activities, dockside support, marina utilities, and workboat operations.
  • Coordinate marina services including guest transportation, baggage handling, waste collection, pump-out services, deliveries, and other guest-related requests.
  • Provide navigational guidance and vessel communication through approved marine communication channels when required.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and support Dock Attendants, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with approved operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Support team onboarding, operational training, safety training, and continuous development initiatives.
  • Promote a positive team culture by providing coaching, guidance, and performance support to marina team members.

Safety and Compliance

  • Monitor daily marina operations to ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, security, and operational standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of berths, pontoons, marina infrastructure, mooring systems, and marina equipment.
  • Monitor compliance with marina regulations, operational procedures, and company policies.
  • Lead first-response activities during operational incidents and support emergency preparedness, drills, and response procedures.

Facilities and Maintenance

  • Coordinate routine and corrective maintenance activities with the appropriate departments to ensure facilities remain in safe operating condition.

Administration

  • Support marina office operations by ensuring vessel records, operational documentation, and administrative requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare operational reports, incident reports, shift handovers, and other required documentation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Respond proactively to guest requests, concerns, and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and exceptional service delivery.
  • Work closely with Security to maintain controlled marina access and report any unauthorized or suspicious activity.
  • Uphold Wynn service standards, company values, and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or vocational qualification in Marine Operations, Marina Operations, Nautical Studies, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Two to five years of operational experience within a marina, maritime, hospitality, watersports, or related environment.
  • Previous marina operations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing operational teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • VHF Radio Operator's Licence preferred.
  • Basic First Aid certification preferred.
  • Proficient swimming ability required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of marina management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to make sound operational decisions while maintaining safety and service standards.

Additional Information

  • Comfortable working in an outdoor marina environment, including on pontoons and workboats.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and public holidays, in line with operational requirements.
  • Reports to the Director - Marina Operations.
  • Salary paid in Dirhams (AED).
