Role Overview
Manager, Product Management β Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) at Mastercard. This is a regional product management role supporting the Merchant Cloud Gateway Core Processing team.

Role Purpose
The Merchant Cloud Gateway Core Processing regional product management team sits at the center of payments innovation, enabling seamless, scalable, and secure customer experiences through Mastercard Merchant Cloud's connected capabilities. The Product Manager will advance the Gateway Core Processing portfolio across Domestic and International Payment Rails, Alternative Payment Rails, Card Present capabilities, scheme compliance, and other strategic focus areas by translating market needs into commercially relevant, scalable solutions that strengthen Mastercard's local and regional payment offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Direction
- Own roadmap development, prioritization, and execution for defined focus areas, ensuring alignment with EEMEA and global strategic objectives.
- Set clear product direction in close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment across connected gateway capabilities and broader customer needs.
- Balance long-term product vision with near-term delivery priorities, technical constraints, competitive considerations, and commercial opportunities.
- Develop globally relevant and regionally adaptable solutions by assessing market requirements, customer segments, technology dependencies, and portfolio trade-offs.
Research & Insights
- Design and conduct user and market research, including customer interviews, to identify pain points, motivations, unmet needs, and growth opportunities.
- Develop insight-led recommendations and drive thought leadership through analysis of competitive offerings, customer expectations, regulatory considerations, and industry trends.
- Translate a deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and payment ecosystem trends into products and solutions that deliver measurable customer and business value.
- Synthesize user research to improve customer value, user experience, product adoption, and long-term engagement.
Prioritization & Execution
- Prioritize product development initiatives in line with Gateway Core Processing strategy, customer demand, commercial opportunity, and delivery readiness.
- Ensure consistent alignment between business priorities, customer outcomes, product requirements, and technology delivery objectives.
- Oversee the creation of clear, high-quality technical and business requirements to support effective execution and delivery.
Go-to-Market & Commercialization
- Drive go-to-market planning, commercialization, and adoption of new and enhanced Core Processing products and capabilities.
- Develop business cases, pricing inputs, and timelines to support product launches and scaling.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strong connector across Sales, Marketing, Technology, Delivery, and regional teams to ensure products are positioned, built, launched, and scaled effectively.
- Build trusted working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional teams, customers, technology partners, commercial teams, and delivery functions, to achieve product objectives and ensure successful market execution.
- Work closely with Global and Regional Product Directors and market teams to translate regional strategy into execution.
- Engage confidently with customers, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional partners through excellent written and verbal communication.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in agile product management, ideally within payments, financial services, technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of payment products, gateway services, processing platforms, or financial technology solutions is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Technical background, such as Computer Science or a related discipline, is advantageous.
- Advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred but not required.

- Experience designing, executing, and synthesizing user research.

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of product management practices and tools, including market assessments, product plans, roadmaps, business cases, pricing inputs, timelines, and research outputs.
