Maintenance Team Member (Carpenter)

Role Overview

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Carpentry and Fixture Work

• Inspect, repair, and install wooden furniture, doors, cabinets, wardrobes, and shelving.
• Repair and maintain locks, skirting, and other fixtures to ensure they remain safe, functional, and visually appealing.

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

• Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks in guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Complete carpet cleaning and floor polishing in guest rooms and hallways.

General Maintenance Tasks

• Perform minor painting, polishing, tiling, drywall repairs, and silicone works as required.
• Execute general handyman tasks throughout the property.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Operations and Compliance

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the Engineering team and other departments.
• Identify and report any health or safety issues found on guest floors.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Hilton standards and safety regulations.

Support and Projects

• Maintain appropriate stock levels of replacement items for guest rooms and corridors.
• Support refurbishment projects and ad hoc maintenance tasks as needed.
• Contribute to maintaining the overall appearance and integrity of the hotel.
