MAINTENANCE LEAD TECHNICIAN

Role Overview

Maintenance Lead Technician at Napco National. The role is based on-site and involves leading maintenance operations, repair work, and the implementation of safety and operational standards.

Role Purpose

To ensure optimal performance and safety of machinery and mechanical equipment through systematic repair, maintenance, and calibration, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and training across the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Repair & Operations

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Dismantle devices to repair defective parts.
• Replace faulty mechanical components of machines and equipment, including bearings, chains, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic components, using proper equipment and hand tools.
• Check bearing condition and identify other wear and tear.
• Perform and implement routine maintenance programs using appropriate tools and all related references.
• Carry out calibration based on the calibration schedule.
• Log daily activities.

Documentation & Reporting

• Report work done, remarks and parts used on repair request forms.

5S & Continuous Improvement

• Carry out, implement and maintain the 5S culture.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure health and safety requirements are implemented throughout the plant.
• Safeguard employee health from industrial hazards.

Procurement & Authorization

• Prepare and issue spare parts vouchers as needed.

Equipment Governance

• Initiate and recommend modification or replacement of components and equipment that fail to meet acceptable operating standards.

Team Leadership & Development

• Direct, assist and train new or lower-level technicians.
