Role Purpose

To manage aircraft turnaround operations including weight and balance, ramp operations, onboard loading and systems, aircraft door operations, onboard cabin safety and security support, and aircraft servicing including potable water, toilet servicing, and catering.

Key Responsibilities

Load Control & Aircraft Operations

• Manage all load control functions for flight, ensuring the aircraft remains within operational limits regarding weight and balance.
• Manage ramp operations with all safety-related issues including loading and aircraft servicing such as external power, potable water, catering, and toilet servicing.
• Ensure all cargo and mail is inspected for suitability for transport.
• Load special loads such as Dangerous Goods and Live Animals correctly and check as per company regulations.
• Provide signed NOTOC to crew.

Stakeholder & Third-Party Management

• Act as point of liaison for third-party service providers, ensuring that resources provided are aligned with the SLA.
• Serve as focal point with Network Control to ensure aircraft departs on time to minimize operational costs.
• Coordinate in the event of flight disruption.

Freighter Operations & Performance

• Manage engagement and drive freighter-specific operations and performance targets to improve service commitments, measured by departmental KPIs such as Freighter OTP, FAB, and Cargo IQ.

Cost Control & Optimization

• Control and report GHA usage of Ground Service Equipment (GSE) in line with GHA contractual obligations, actual operational and product-related requirements, thereby minimizing costs.
• Identify further cost reduction opportunities within freighter operations activities.

Security & Safety Compliance

• Ensure appropriate security checks are carried out in the cabin as per requirement.
• Implement access control while in service.
• Ensure no prohibited articles or unauthorized personnel are on board.
• Conduct regular Aircraft Turnaround Checks (ATCs) on behalf of EY Ground Safety to ensure competency of global GHAs for EY on/off-line network.
• Focus on safety, security, and operational compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary school degree desirable or significant relevant work experience as Loadmaster.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with demonstrable background in Loadmaster, Airline Cargo Operations, Ground Handler Operations, or similar role in military environment.
