Role Purpose
The Lighting Expert designs, supervises, and inspects road lighting systems while coordinating with engineers and contractors. The role requires technical expertise in electrical and lighting systems to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant lighting infrastructure across highways, streets, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Design and develop road lighting systems for highways, streets, and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for lighting requirements.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for lighting works.
- Monitor energy efficiency and recommend sustainable lighting solutions.
Supervision & Installation
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of lighting systems.
- Conduct inspections to verify proper installation and performance of lighting systems.
- Review and validate contractor work, materials, and equipment used.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Verify adherence to safety regulations, electrical codes, and sustainable practices.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with civil engineers, electrical inspectors, and project managers to integrate lighting systems into overall project plans.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and maintenance guidelines for lighting infrastructure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in lighting design and implementation within road and infrastructure projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, lighting technologies, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, lighting design software, and project management tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
