Role Overview

Light Duty Driver at Emirates Flight Catering. The position is based in the United Arab Emirates and reports to the Unit Logistics Coordinator.

Role Purpose

Safely transport customer laundry to the Linen Craft business units from various customer locations in a safe and secure manner while meeting stringent delivery timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Transport

• Pick up and return processed items and linens to various customers according to schedule and ad hoc requests.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly to avoid potential accidents caused by shifting loads that could make the vehicle unbalanced.
• Maintain accurate daily trip sheets and provide necessary data to the Operations Assistant.
• Find alternate routes and use prudent judgment in following logical sequences to reduce time, improve efficiency, and fuel consumption.

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Maintain hygiene in the vehicle by removing dirt and soil on a regular basis depending on usage, ensuring a well-maintained fleet and minimizing the likelihood of contamination to the linen.
• Observe and comply with UAE traffic rules with respect to the vehicle fleet size.
• Report any health and safety hazards to immediate head.
• Assist in conducting drive tests on new vehicles.

Customer Relations

• Deal with customers, both external and internal, in a polite and professional manner.
• Ensure satisfied customers through reliable and punctual service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Certificate.
• UAE License for Light Duty vehicles (mandatory).
• Two years' experience of driving on UAE roads.
