Role Overview

Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Kalba, College of Computing and Intelligent Systems, Computer Science Program.

Role Purpose

Deliver undergraduate mathematics instruction in support of computing and applied science disciplines, while contributing to curriculum development, student advising, and departmental service. Research and community engagement are encouraged in line with university mission.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Course Delivery

• Plan, prepare, and deliver mathematics courses including Calculus I, Calculus II, Mathematics for Business, and Probability and Statistics.
• Develop course syllabi, teaching materials, assessments, and marking schemes aligned with program learning outcomes.

Student Assessment & Support

• Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback to support student learning and progression.
• Mentor and advise students academically.

Curriculum & Program Development

• Contribute to curriculum development, program review, and continuous improvement activities within the department.

Learning Environment & Technology

• Utilize digital and educational technologies to promote an interactive and effective learning environment.

Departmental & Institutional Service

• Participate in departmental, college, and university administrative duties as assigned.

Professional Development & Engagement

• Engage in professional development, research activities where applicable, and community service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from an internationally recognized university.
• At least one year of teaching experience in mathematics courses at the university or college level; science background preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
