Role Overview
Wood PLC is recruiting for a Lead Project Engineer to join its Projects team in Sohar, Oman, focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work.

Role Purpose
Lead the phases of the project and bring out the best strategies and approaches to deliver the technical requirements, with a focus on both brownfield and greenfield opportunities in onshore oil and gas.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the phases of the project including technical detailed design scope.
- Develop and execute the best strategies and approaches to deliver technical requirements.
- Solve project execution challenges recognized during the development of the project.
Safety & Quality
- Ensure Safety and Quality control procedures are followed during the execution of all work.
- Maintain a high standard of safety in all design work.
Stakeholder Management
- Lead and participate in pre and post contract award discussions with Asset Owners.
- Assist in the definition of user requirements.
Project Delivery & Oversight
- Follow up project deliverables and participate in project reviews.
- Conduct or supervise site inspections for accuracy of project progress.
People Development
- Guide young engineers in related matters.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum qualification is degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 15 FEED/EPC projects as Lead Project Engineer.
- Minimum 2 FEED/EPC projects.
- Experience in Refinery projects.
- Staff development and mentoring capabilities.
- Skills with handling of vendor documents.
Skills & Competencies
- Skilled in MS Office applications.
- Good English language understanding and writing.
- Strong communication and computer application skills.
- Good people skills and capacity to work in multicultural organizations.
