Role Overview
Aviation Market Lead at AtkinsRéalis in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, responsible for driving aviation business growth, leading client relationships, and overseeing bids and project delivery.

Role Purpose
To lead aviation business development and client relationships in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, supporting the Middle East Aviation Market growth strategy through business development, bid management, client engagement, and project delivery across AtkinsRéalis's five Aviation propositions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Relationships
- Work closely with the Middle East Aviation Market Director to support regional Aviation Market growth strategy from Kingdom-based position.
- Develop client network in the Kingdom, leveraging existing relationships and establishing new ones as required.
- Act as main point of contact for Aviation clients in the Kingdom through all project stages from bidding through delivery.
- Connect and meet potential new customers.
- Foster and strengthen existing relationships with Aviation clients.
- Identify several new potential clients and project opportunities within 12 months of commencing the role, resulting in proposals being submitted.
- Within 12 months of commencing the role, raise the profile of AtkinsRéalis Aviation within client organisations in the Kingdom where there is a visible pipeline of future work or where AtkinsRéalis has no previous exposure, ensuring correct and formal pre-qualification and registration to receive RFPs.
Bid Management & Project Handover
- Provide leadership on bid management and preparation.
- Lead bid preparation oversight.
- Participate in production of bids or manage bid production.
- Within 3 months of commencing the role, independently follow up with clients in the Kingdom to ensure that submitted proposals and relevant opportunities are coordinated and worked on to secure highest chance of success.
Strategic Planning & Delivery
- Support handover from bid stage to project set up and execution as well as live projects where required.
- Maximise capabilities of existing resources in the Kingdom to deliver projects.
- Support identification of gaps as part of the strategic growth plan delivering against five Aviation propositions: Strategy and Planning; Design and Engineering; Delivery and Construction; Testing Commissioning and ORAT; Asset Management & Transformation.
- Maintain network of local partners where applicable to support project services delivery and capability.
- Assist in development and demonstrate successful delivery of AtkinsRéalis growth plan, with success measured against targets set out in the plan.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Provide operational inputs to Aviation Market Director and leadership team including financial and utilisation metrics, pipeline updates, and bid status.
- Conduct market and opportunity analysis support.
- Perform leads and opportunities generation.
- Support key account management plans for key clients in KSA, supporting the Middle East Aviation Market Director to identify main stakeholders and intelligence on upcoming projects for each key account.
- Carry out market and opportunity analysis.
General Support
- Provide other general support to the Middle East Aviation Market Director and Senior Management as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record of business development and delivery of projects with infrastructure and aviation clients in the Kingdom.
- Responsible for business development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for at least 5 years.
- Previous experience in airport and aviation related consultancy services or infrastructure related consultancy services is required.
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably from a western university.
- Experience of having participated in or managed production of bids.
- Experience of having carried out market and opportunity analysis.
- Proven record in business development and related commercial mechanics as well as ability to close deals.
- Have worked for multinational companies in the Kingdom is desirable.

- Arabic Speaker; Saudi National is a big advantage.
- Knowledge of AtkinsRéalis is an advantage.
