Role Overview

Kitchen Steward at The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, operated by Marriott.

Role Purpose

Support vital hotel functions by maintaining cleanliness and organization across departments including kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry. Prepare and maintain linens, dishware, and equipment to ensure guests receive fresh, spotless service items.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Equipment

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens across the hotel.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Quality & Standards

• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Prepare fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest use.
• Uphold professional standards in uniform, personal appearance, and communications.

Workplace Safety & Compliance

• Create and maintain a safe workplace.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.

Teamwork & Communication

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Support team to reach common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.

Additional Duties

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications & Experience

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• No related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
