Junior Facility Engineer

Role Overview

Junior Facility Engineer at Majid Al Futtaim, Head Office Oman. The role is responsible for preparing sketches, drawings, and models to support new build, refurbishment, and modification proposals for the Business Development team and MAF Retail operational requirements.

Role Purpose

Support the development and delivery of technical documentation and facility engineering activities that enable new construction, refurbishment, and modification projects across MAF Retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Documentation

• Assist in preparing and updating technical drawings, layouts, and documentation using AutoCAD.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, and project documentation.
• Ensure engineering drawings comply with company standards and project specifications.

Site & Facility Support

• Conduct site visits and collect measurements, technical data, and facility information.
• Support facility maintenance projects and Agreements and site-related engineering activities.
• Support space planning, facility modifications, and renovation activities.

Stakeholder Coordination & Project Management

• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Assist in preparing reports and tracking project progress within agreed timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Facilities Management, Maintenance, Engineering, or Technical Drawing.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and building layouts.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
