Junior Accountant

Role Overview

Junior Accountant at Shipa, supporting financial operations across three companies: Shipa Freight Solution LLC and KSK Logistics LLC (both UAE-based) and Boxit4me Inc (US-based).

Role Purpose

Support the finance team to ensure financial accuracy, manage reporting, and lead key financial processes including the annual audit across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Management

• Oversee and manage accounts for two UAE-based companies, Shipa Freight Solution LLC and KSK Logistics LLC, and one US-based company, Boxit4me Inc.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of company accounts and supervise complex accounting entries.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management.
• Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts.

Intercompany Operations

• Coordinate financial activities and transactions with other Shipa entities.
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions.

Banking & Cash Management

• Supervise banking transactions and manage cash flow.
• Prepare banking operations.

Audit & Compliance

• Lead the annual audit process and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, particularly in the UAE.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Five years of progressive experience in a junior management finance or accounting role.
• Proven experience as an accountant.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple entities and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in banking operations, domestic and international.
