Role Overview
Junior Accountant at Damen, based at DMESS in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Full-time position within the Finance Department.

Damen Middle East Shared Services Limited, based in the United Arab Emirates, forms part of Damen Global Support and provides specialized support services to the various divisions in key areas including Finance, Audit, Legal, and Compliance.
Role Purpose
Support the Finance team in day-to-day accounting operations across Damen Middle East entities. Maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements, and contribute to month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Transaction Processing
- Support daily accounting activities for Damen Middle East entities.
- Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and accounting transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Prepare and process purchase and sales invoices.
- Assist in the creation of sales quotations and purchase orders.
- Support bank payment preparation and execution in accordance with approved procedures.
Reconciliations & Financial Close
- Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Support management reporting and preparation of financial schedules.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with Group reporting requirements, including OneStream data submissions.
- Support VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Assist internal and external auditors with requested documentation and information.
Record Management
- Maintain accurate financial documentation, records, and audit trails.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- One to three years of relevant accounting experience; UAE experience is an advantage.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
