Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is one of the main clients, along with Tier 1 and Tier 2 EPC contractors in this sector. The company has expertise to carry out full EPC&M services for electrical and instrumentation works and brings intrinsic knowledge to measure and automate exploration, production, separation, refining processes, and distribution through localized services.

Role Purpose

To perform electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities on electrical systems and equipment in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, and HSE policies to ensure operational reliability and safety at Oil & Gas facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Carry out electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities on electrical systems and equipment in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, distribution boards, UPS systems, lighting systems, and associated electrical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions to restore equipment to service efficiently.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company HSE policies, Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, and site regulations.
• Review work permits, job plans, risk assessments, and method statements before commencing activities.
• Isolate, lock out, and tag out electrical equipment as required and verify safe working conditions before starting work.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training programs as required.

Testing & Inspection

• Conduct inspections and functional tests of electrical installations and equipment to ensure operational reliability and compliance with standards.
• Ensure tools, instruments, and testing equipment are maintained, calibrated, and used correctly.

Technical Knowledge & Documentation

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Record completed work, test results, and maintenance activities accurately in maintenance management systems and reports.
• Report equipment defects, unsafe conditions, incidents, and maintenance findings to the Supervisor.

Coordination & Planning

• Coordinate with supervisors, planners, operations personnel, and other maintenance disciplines to execute assigned work effectively.
• Verify worksite readiness and ensure required materials, spare parts, and resources are available before starting jobs.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices and keep work areas clean and safe throughout job execution.

Support & Improvement

• Assist during plant shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and maintenance efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Industrial facilities.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety practices, Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial plant environments, including shutdown and turnaround activities.
