Role Overview
IT Supervisor at IHG Hotels & Resorts. This role is based at a hotel property and reports to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Business Support, and Area IT Leader.

Role Purpose
Ensure reliable hardware and seamless software systems that enable exceptional day-to-day hotel operations and first-class guest service by installing and maintaining IT infrastructure, enhancing security, and equipping teams with the tools and knowledge they need.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Installation & Management
- Install new computer systems and ensure they are properly configured and working efficiently.
- Keep up to date with all approved systems and technology, including LAN and POS systems.
- Maintain hardware and software performance to operational standards.
Reporting & Communication
- Serve as the primary contact for servicing computer hardware.
- Report regularly to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Business Support, and Area IT Leader on system status and issues.
Security & Compliance
- Maintain digital and physical security standards across IT infrastructure.
- Safeguard IT infrastructure against cyberthreats.
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
Vendor & Operations Management
- Evaluate vendor proposals for hardware, software, and IT services.
- Troubleshoot computer issues and resolve technical problems.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Deliver knowledge sharing and training sessions to hotel team members.
- Pass on expertise to enable staff to use systems effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 4 years of related experience with computer set-up and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of networks, operating systems, and databases.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
