Role Purpose
The IT Specialist oversees day-to-day IT operations, ensuring all hotel technology systems run efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business needs. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, system support, cybersecurity, and technology projects to enhance operational efficiency and guest experience while ensuring compliance with IHG standards and promoting innovation to support the hotel's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Maintenance
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot hotel IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, tablets, smartphones, and network devices.
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software systems.
- Monitor network, server, email, and business application performance.
- Perform regular backups and support data recovery processes.
Technical Support
- Provide timely technical support to hotel colleagues and departments.
- Support hotel systems, including PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, and guest-facing technologies.
Asset & Documentation Management
- Maintain IT asset inventories, software licenses, and system documentation.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure compliance with IHG IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data protection procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, IT coordination, or a similar role.
- Previous hotel experience is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, LAN/WAN, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing iOS and Android devices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.
