IT Manager at voco Sharjah, IHG Hotels and Resorts, located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Role Purpose
Deliver reliable hardware and seamless software systems to support first-class service across the hotel. Install new IT systems, enhance security standards, and equip teams with the tools and resources needed to perform effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware and Systems Management
- Be the primary contact for servicing computer hardware, ensuring systems are installed properly and working efficiently.
- Report regularly on hardware status to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Business Support, and Area IT Leader.
- Maintain hardware and software performance across all hotel systems.
Technology and Infrastructure
- Keep current with all approved systems and technology, from LAN to POS systems.
- Maintain digital and physical security standards.
- Safeguard IT infrastructure against cyberthreats.
Vendor and Operations Management
- Evaluate vendor proposals.
- Work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Training and Knowledge Transfer
- Run knowledge sharing and training sessions to pass expertise to the hotel team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Four years of related experience with computer set-up and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of networks, operating systems, and databases.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
