Role Overview

Intern - Sustainability Department at IHG Hotels and Resorts, Six Senses The Palm, Dubai.

Role Purpose

To support the efficient operation of the Sustainability Department across guest-facing and operational initiatives, including Earth Lab management, sustainability programming, waste management coordination, and the integration of regenerative impact philosophy throughout the guest journey.

Key Responsibilities

Earth Lab Operations

• Manage weekly activity calendar and on-demand workshop scheduling.
• Create and innovate new Earth Lab workshops.
• Oversee inventory and stock re-ordering.
• Maintain cleanliness and amenity production standards.
• Generate revenue through Earth Lab activities.

Guest Programming & Experience

• Lead children-related activities within and outside the Earth Lab.
• Manage Sustainability-related Mission Wellness offerings for hosts.
• Assist the Experience team in leading Out of the Ordinary experiences.
• Follow up with guests post-experience.
• Increase guest-facing visibility of the Regenerative Impact Fund and communicate its value.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with the Wellness team on Alchemy bar, outdoor activities, and curated experiences as needed.
• Work cross-departmentally daily across diverse sustainability initiatives.
• Increase integration of Sustainability philosophy throughout the entire guest journey.

Waste Management

• Oversee Waste Management coordination.
• Ensure the team has necessary equipment to operate seamlessly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Passion and curiosity for Sustainability and excellent guest experience.
• Bilingual profile.
