Role Overview

Intern position with Apparel Group, responsible for representing the brand through sales, customer service, and store operations in a retail environment.

Role Purpose

To maximize store sales and contribute to brand representation through exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and adherence to company standards and visual merchandising guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet customers and assist in selecting the right product.
• Convert window shoppers to ultimate buyers.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
• Serve customers with the highest standards following the company GUEST guideline: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge across various group brands for suggestive selling.

Store Maintenance & Presentation

• Ensure all stock is laid out and displayed to attract customers in accordance with standard layout norms.
• Ensure all visual merchandising guidelines are followed.
• Maintain all stock norms on clearance items.
• Perform various operational duties such as store maintenance and visual presentation standards as assigned by store manager or assistant store manager.

Inventory & Merchandise

• Record inventory inward and outward movements and maintain reports.
• Ensure minimal stock loss through up-to-date product knowledge.

Point of Sale & Payments

• Handle the POS (Point of Sale) billing counter efficiently.
• Tally money in the cash till during beginning and end of shifts.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers correctly.
• Process payments by cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure awareness and vigilance of store security at all times without negligence.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Loss Prevention Policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of sales figures to outside parties.

Flexibility & Availability

• Be flexible to work extended hours during sale periods.
• Be flexible to work varied shifts and overtime as per business requirement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must be presentable and well-groomed at all times.
• Possess up-to-date product knowledge.
