Interior Designer - Saudi National

Role Overview

Interior Designer - Saudi National with WSP Middle East in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the design implementation process for a major Supervision Project.

Role Purpose

Oversee the interior fit-out design implementation process, ensuring that interior design works are executed in accordance with approved design specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Design Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise interior design works, managing a dedicated team throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate closely with architects and other design disciplines (including lighting and MEP final fix) to resolve any design or construction-related issues, ensuring seamless project execution.
• Contribute to and approve construction interior design details, guaranteeing alignment with the overall design vision.

Materials & Specifications

• Provide expert input on the selection of materials and finishes, balancing client preferences with architectural and project requirements.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

• Manage and review construction documentation, including shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, to ensure all design intent and modifications are reflected and highlight any discrepancies in the design.
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings for project records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related subject.
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in interior design.
• Preferably 15+ years' experience in Architecture, Interior Design, and Design with a background in architectural design management.
• Strong background in construction supervision, site coordination, design management, and quality assurance for large-scale commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
• Experience working on high-rise tower projects (ideally 300+ meters).
• Experience as part of a Design team leading the delivery of large-scale projects in the Middle East.
• Experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia and familiarity with local regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Saudi National status required.
