Instrument Technician I (CINT07 - Instrument Fitter) at KBR. The role ensures Instrument assets are reliable and available to keep Process Units in operation.

Role Purpose

To lead, supervise, and coordinate Instrument maintenance activities and technician teams, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient execution of breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities while applying best and safe maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Coordination

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate activities of maintenance technician teams within your area of influence.
• Lead and supervise day-to-day Instrument maintenance activities developed by technicians on all Instrument systems, plant equipment, and facilities within the designated area of responsibility.
• Serve as the focal point for daily Instrument maintenance execution plans.

Maintenance Planning & Execution

• Execute monthly and weekly maintenance plans in compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Provide onsite maintenance and repairs on all types of Instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors.
• Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer's recommendations, and contract terms.
• Follow up on Instrument maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports to the Instrument foreman with recommendations.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Conduct frequent site visits to ensure proper execution of work and check on technicians engaged in routine maintenance activities.
• Control and submit progress reports on a regular basis.
• Keep a record of daily maintenance works against planned maintenance programs and prepare work completion reports where applicable.

Engineering & Continuous Improvement

• Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by making recommendations to increase the suitability and serviceability of Instrument systems.

Safety & Compliance

• Demonstrate proactive safety aptitude and behavior.
• Maintain strong knowledge of standards, procedures, and regulation to develop activities taking care of Health, Safety, and Environmental preservation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6–8 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance with Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities.
• Proven leadership skills with large organizations.
• Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
• Strategic management skills.
• Ability to achieve business results working in a multi-cultural environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Instrument systems.
• Good knowledge in Instrument equipment design, installation, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
• Good command of oral and written English.

• Flexibility to travel internationally and live in KSA.
