Installation Supervisor

Role Overview

Installation Supervisor at KONE, responsible for managing and controlling elevator and escalator installation projects from sales handover to client delivery and maintenance transition.

Role Purpose

Lead and manage the installation team to ensure safe, high-quality, complete-on-time delivery of KONE solutions within budget. Act as the KONE interface to customers and stakeholders throughout the fulfillment process, while supporting the sales team in pre-tender and tender activities as requested.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Accountability

• Own the delivery of the installation project from sales and installation handover to completion and client handover.
• Ensure all final testing of equipment and handover to maintenance is completed.
• Participate in the sales and installation handover and validate the terms of the order received from the customer together with the salesperson.
• Guarantee accountable use of correct KONE installation methods throughout the installation.

Site Safety & Environmental Management

• Own site safety throughout the project.
• Manage environmental aspects of the installation efficiently and responsibly.

Financial Management

• Own the financial result of the project.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Controlling to ensure site activities are planned and executed in accordance with contractual payment terms and actual payments received.

Materials, Logistics & Site Preparation

• Plan and organize the delivery and storage of materials and tools to the site.
• Place orders with subcontractors and non-KONE factory material suppliers.
• Oversee site preparations and follow-up of site readiness.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Own customer satisfaction and quality of installation.
• Serve as the single point of contact towards the customer during installation regarding site management.
• Manage internal and external communication during the project.

Subcontractor Oversight

• Own subcontractor quality and safety performance.

People Management & Leadership

• Own the development and wellbeing of site operatives and manage team and individual performance.
• Determine objectives and plans for the installation team.
• Organize, communicate, control, and motivate the installation team.
• Identify field operative training needs and manage training plans.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry.
