AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Mechanical Inspector (Site Operation) in the United Arab Emirates. The role is permanent and full-time.

Role Purpose

The Mechanical Inspector ensures that Contractor(s) comply with all contract standards, specifications, and health and safety measures through systematic observation, measurement, testing, and quality assurance tracking across assigned site areas.

Key Responsibilities

Contract & Documentation Management

• Read and understand package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, together with any associated updates.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks needed by the leader.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure Contractor(s) are complying with the standards and specifications of the contract documents through observation, measurements, and testing.
• Track quality assurance progress.
• Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements by performing inspection duties.

Site Supervision & Documentation

• Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Document in assigned areas the Contractor's personnel and equipment, activities observed, location of activities, reason for activities, and means and methods utilized.
• Maintain records of the Contractor's manpower and equipment daily resources.
• Report on materials delivery.

Health & Safety Monitoring

• Monitor Health and Safety of the construction works and report on violations.

Site Instruction Implementation

• Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the leader.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of overall experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the United Arab Emirates.
• Experience in Mechanical-related type projects required.
• Buildings, High-rise, or Villa project experience is preferred.
