Role Overview
Inspector - Civil at AtkinsRealis. This position monitors contractors' work on infrastructure projects, verifies adherence to specifications and approved drawings, and provides daily reporting to management.

Role Purpose
To inspect all road works in progress, ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved drawings, monitor daily progress, and maintain quality standards through independent verification and collaborative reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Compliance
- Carry out inspection on all road works in progress and ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings.
- Inspect, check, and record that work is being executed in accordance with approved methodologies.
- Check that site instructions are being followed and report findings to R.E.
- Check services locations and ensure their protection.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and daily report to line management contractor progress in all road activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in civil infrastructure inspection and road works.
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English; English is essential.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of civil infrastructure and road construction.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to act independently while collaborating with the wider project team.
