Role Purpose
The HVAC/CRAC Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, applying detailed working knowledge of facility equipment and operations, including facility systems, chillers, air conditioning, ventilation, and structural repairs. The role requires the ability to supervise, troubleshoot, and restore operations of facility systems and equipment, schedule preventive maintenance assignments and work orders, and conduct daily supervisory field inspections while assisting craftsmen in assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relations & Support
- Provide good customer relation skills to effectively assist company and customer representatives.
- Respond to after-hour calls and work requirements.
- Maintain customer service orientation in all interactions.
Facility Systems Operations
- Supervise, troubleshoot, and restore operations of facility systems and equipment.
- Maintain detailed working knowledge of facility systems operations, chillers, air conditioning, ventilation, and structural repairs.
- Schedule preventive maintenance assignments and work orders.
- Conduct daily supervisory field inspections.
Field Work & Support
- Assist craftsmen in assigned duties.
- Support IAP policies in all operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems and Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) systems.
- Journeyman HVAC with a CFC Universal License/Certification.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair Computer Room Air Conditioning Systems (CRAC).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of safety rules, practices, and environmental policies.
- Ability to remain in appropriate physical condition to meet OSHA requirements of 50 pounds lifting capacity.
Additional Information
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License and operate company vehicles in a safe manner.
- Valid U.S. Passport preferred.
- Must meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements as outlined in USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
- Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Able to endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
- Travel: 100%, in deployed location.
