Role Overview

HVAC Technician at Amentum.

Role Purpose

Install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems while managing fuel emissions and refrigerant handling programs to support multiple command and control, air traffic control, and weather systems.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, Maintenance & Repair

• Install, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems.
• Perform scheduled periodic maintenance and seasonal overhaul on systems and components to ensure maximum efficiency.

Planning & Facility Management

• Perform planning activities and facility surveys.

Program Management

• Manage HVAC/R fuel emissions and refrigerant handling programs and activities to support ACCOM II systems, ATCALS systems, ATC Weather systems, C2 Air Control Squadron operations and maintenance support, and Regional Maintenance Center operations and support equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• CFC/EPA certification such as Section 608 Certification (Universal).
• Formal HVAC/R training from military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four-year apprentice program.
• Four years of practical experience with HVAC/R maintenance and repair equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam.
• US citizenship.

Additional Information

• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
