HVAC Technician

Role Overview

Role Purpose

Maintain, repair, and optimize all air-conditioning and HVAC systems throughout the hotel to ensure guest comfort, operational reliability, and safety compliance. Respond to emergency repairs, execute preventive maintenance, and uphold all statutory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Own all air-conditioning systems across the hotel.
• Execute routine and planned preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Attend to day-to-day HVAC problems and service requests.
• Carry out emergency repairs and adjustments to all AC equipment and machines.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Ensure trouble reports are addressed swiftly.
• Identify faults on equipment and recommend minor or major repairs.
• Perform duties necessary for completion of repair jobs.
• Apply strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to resolve system issues.

Safety & Compliance

• Carry out statutory and safety checks as instructed.
• Ensure all safety practices are followed at all times.
• Consider economy and cost-efficiency in all work.
• Immediately report equipment faults to supervisor.

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain all relevant log sheets and technical records.
• Notify supervisor upon job completion.
• Be familiar with HVAC layout and systems throughout the hotel.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the same HVAC technician role.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Physical ability to handle equipment and work in challenging environments.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in using HVAC tools and equipment.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Technical knowledge of air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
