Role Purpose

To oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensure the highest service standards across all guest-facing and back-of-house areas, lead and develop a team of Room Attendants, and deliver exceptional guest experiences through meticulous attention to cleanliness, safety, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Experience

• Provide professional, warm, and engaging service, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP from the moment they arrive.
• Handle guest concerns swiftly and professionally, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction and leaving a lasting positive impression.
• Anticipate guest needs and address issues with elegance.

Operations & Oversight

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring the housekeeping department runs seamlessly.
• Conduct daily inspections of checkout rooms and occupied rooms, overseeing 4–5 Room Attendants working independently or as part of a team.
• Carry out daily deep-cleaning audits for each Room Attendant in accordance with IHG standards and procedures.
• Conduct additional weekly focused inspections to ensure consistent cleanliness and quality standards.
• Inspect PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) rooms, identify and report any snags, and ensure deep-cleaning requirements are completed to the required standard.
• Ensure the team is always prepared and aware of the day's priorities, so no detail is overlooked.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and overall presentation of lift landings, elevator doors, guest corridors, chute rooms, and garbage rooms within the assigned floor.

Team Management & Development

• Oversee the creation of efficient departmental schedules that meet operational demands and promote team well-being.
• Actively participate in daily briefings, warm-up sessions, and departmental meetings.
• Keep detailed records of team progress and development.
• Motivate, guide, and inspire a high-performing team.

Compliance, Safety & Maintenance

• Enforce and uphold the hotel's policies and procedures to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards never slip.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies, ensuring both guests and colleagues enjoy a safe, healthy, and pristine environment.
• Identify and report any maintenance needs to the Engineering department, ensuring that issues are swiftly addressed without affecting the guest experience.

Scheduling & Flexibility

• Maintain flexibility to work across morning, afternoon/evening, and night shifts as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a housekeeping supervisor role at a five-star hotel.
• Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.

Skills & Competencies

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
• Sharp eye for detail and perfection in every task.
• Ability to motivate, guide, and inspire a high-performing team.
