Housekeeping Attendant

Role Overview

Housekeeping Attendant at IHG Hotels and Resorts.

Role Purpose

Maintain rooms and hotel spaces to exceptional standards while delivering memorable guest experiences. Ensure all areas meet company standards through attention to detail, safety compliance, and proactive communication.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Help guests with requests such as toothbrushes, directions, and other assistance as needed
• Make rooms special and memorable for guests

Room Maintenance & Cleaning

• Maintain rooms at established standards
• May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects
• May have turndown duties

Supplies & Waste Management

• Monitor and control supplies and amenities across all housekeeping areas
• Keep on top of supplies and amenities availability
• Minimize waste throughout operations

Lost & Found

• Reunite items with owners
• Report, turn in, and log all lost and found items according to established procedures

Communication & Coordination

• Keep supervisor updated on room service progress
• Alert supervisor to any repairs needed
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

Safety & Standards

• Follow established safety procedures at all times
• Wear protective equipment when needed
• Wear uniform with pride

Ad Hoc Duties

• Assist with other duties as assigned
• Support unexpected moments when the team must pull together to complete tasks
