Role Purpose

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms and assigned hotel areas. The role ensures that rooms are properly cleaned, organized, and prepared according to the hotel's luxury service standards, providing guests with a comfortable and welcoming environment throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room & Area Maintenance

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize furniture, fixtures, floors, and other surfaces.
• Ensure guest rooms are properly arranged, well-presented, and ready for guest arrival.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms, pantries, and housekeeping storage areas.

Guest Service & Communication

• Attend to guest requests promptly and professionally while respecting their privacy and comfort.
• Handle guest belongings carefully and follow hotel lost and found procedures.
• Report room status updates and coordinate with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure rooms are ready on time.

Equipment & Supply Management

• Maintain housekeeping trolleys, cleaning equipment, and supplies in good working condition.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures, including the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to hotel hygiene and environmental standards.

Reporting & Support

• Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, and equipment defects to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Assist with deep cleaning, periodic cleaning, and special housekeeping assignments when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper.

Health, Safety & Sustainability

• Follow hotel grooming, health and safety, hygiene, and security procedures at all times.
• Support sustainability initiatives by using cleaning materials, water, and other resources responsibly.
