Role Purpose
The Housekeeping Attendant ensures that all assigned guest rooms, corridors, and service areas are cleaned and maintained according to the hotel's standards. The role requires delivering exceptional cleanliness, maintaining guest comfort, and providing prompt and courteous service to create an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Room and Area Cleaning
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms, suites, corridors, and service areas according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and replace bed linens, towels, and guest amenities.
- Clean bathrooms, furniture, mirrors, windows, floors, and other room fixtures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in linen rooms, pantries, and storage areas.
Guest Service and Communication
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints.
- Respect guest privacy and strictly follow all "Do Not Disturb" procedures.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Inventory and Supply Management
- Replenish guest supplies and minibar items as required.
- Ensure housekeeping trolleys are properly stocked before the start of each shift.
- Handle lost and found items in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
Operations and Safety
- Attend daily briefings and follow instructions provided by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, safety hazards, and unusual situations immediately.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and chemicals are used safely and appropriately.
- Follow all hotel policies, brand standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental practices.
Professional Standards
- Maintain the highest standards of personal grooming, hygiene, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping within a 4- or 5-star hotel is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and housekeeping operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift.
Additional Information
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
