Company Overview
Saadiyat Beach Club is nestled on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, celebrating health and wellness in natural surroundings and beautiful facilities. The club won the 2015 Ultra Travel Middle East Award for Best Beach Club in the UAE. It features a stunning outdoor 650 square meter chilled pool surrounded by private cabanas, and provides guest access to a private section of the 9km Saadiyat Island beach, which has held Blue Flag eco label certification since October 2013. The beach is part of a protected habitat where Hawksbill turtles have nested for countless years.
Role Purpose
To handle table reservations, control the flow of guests, and supervise assigned stations or sections. Serve food and beverage to guests in a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible manner consistent with established performance and productivity standards across all Food & Beverage Outlets—Restaurants, Bars, and Pool Restaurant—to maximize guest satisfaction. Remain flexible to extend job duties and responsibilities beyond the original assigned work, including re-assignment to alternative departments and areas if required, to meet business demand and guest service needs.
Key Responsibilities
Service Operations
- Assist the Management team in day-to-day service on the restaurant floor.
- Handle table reservations and control the flow of guests.
- Supervise assigned station or section.
- Maintain consistency with regards to product and service within station.
Guest Interaction
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout the dining process.
- Serve food and beverage in a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible manner.
Standards & Compliance
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain the required levels of service at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Higher Secondary School education.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Waiter/Waitress or similar role in a 5 star hotel restaurant.
- Good command of written and spoken English is a must.
Skills & Competencies
- Highly motivated and extremely confident.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent command of English both written and oral; second language advantageous.
- Must be an inspiration to colleagues.
- Must have a genuine passion for food and service.
