Role Purpose

To create a memorable first impression for guests by welcoming them warmly, managing reservations and wait lists efficiently, and ensuring a consistent, courteous arrival experience that sets the tone for their visit to the restaurant or bar.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Welcome & Experience

• Welcome guests to the venue with promptness and courtesy.
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas.
• Understand the importance of the guest arrival experience and strive for consistency.
• Cater to guests who require extra attention, including children and elderly guests.
• Consider the satisfaction of all guests by ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service at all times.

Reservations & Wait Management

• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Field telephone calls and organize reservations, floor plans, and table allocations.
• Assist the department to drive guest satisfaction by providing consistent guest experiences.

Guest Service & Issue Resolution

• Promptly handle guest queries, complaints, and all issues in a professional manner.
• Ensure that all details are communicated to the Supervisor or Outlet Manager.
• Report positive and constructive guest feedback to the manager.

Facility & Operations

• Maintain a clean reception area.
• Assist with consistency of the restaurant presentation, labelling, and signage.
• Assist wait staff as needed.
• Maintain familiarity with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven work experience as a Hostess.
• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• High school diploma.
• Food safety training is a plus.
