Heavy Equipment Operator

Role Overview

Heavy Equipment Operator (Solar Field) at ACWA Power. Reports to the Maintenance / Solar Field Engineer.

Role Purpose

Perform solar field cleaning tasks using heavy machinery in accordance with O&M procedures and HSE guidelines, under the coordination and direction of the solar field engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Security & Environment

• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls to guarantee employee safety and environmental compliance.

Operation and Maintenance

• Operate heavy machinery and heavy vehicles for solar field cleaning tasks.
• Manage water treatment basics in cleaning operations.
• Navigate access loop roads and paths with proficiency.
• Coordinate with Control Room Operators for cleaning coordination and loop cleaning position planning.
• Achieve solar field loops cleaning targets on a daily basis.
• Perform pre-operation, during-operation, and post-operation truck checks including oil level, water level, wires status, truck lights, and air circuit purge.
• Execute maintenance level 1 tasks including air leak repair, oil leak repair, hose changes, and detector adjustment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck and proper use of the packing area.
• Troubleshoot truck malfunctions and issues.
• Implement work instructions for cleaning trucks including respect for cleaning truck speed, verification of loop cleaning position with Control Room Operators, maintenance of proper distance between truck and collector, and adherence to cleaning angle per supplier recommendation.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Mechanical Technician qualification.
• Truck driving license.
• Proven experience in CSP Technologies and cleaning truck operation (preferable).

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years relevant experience.
