Role Overview

Head of Legal at MIRA Construction. This is a senior leadership position for a high-calibre lawyer with significant development experience.

Role Purpose

Lead the Group's legal function and provide strategic, commercially focused legal leadership across its businesses and development activities. Operate as a business partner to the leadership team, identify legal and commercial risks early, structure transactions effectively, protect the Group's interests, and build a scalable legal function.

Key Responsibilities

Real Estate Development & Investment

• Lead all legal matters relating to real estate development and investment.
• Advise on land acquisitions, development structures, joint ventures, investments and financing.
• Manage legal due diligence for acquisitions and investments.

Transactions & Agreements

• Lead negotiation of major development, construction and commercial agreements.
• Structure transactions effectively to protect the Group's interests.

Risk & Dispute Management

• Advise the CEO, Board and senior management on legal and commercial risks.
• Identify legal and commercial risks early.
• Oversee disputes, claims and external legal counsel.

Governance & Function Development

• Build and lead an effective in-house legal function.
• Establish strong legal governance, contracts and risk-management processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified lawyer with a recognised legal qualification or bar admission.
• Strong, hands-on real estate development experience essential.
• Proven experience with major development projects, acquisitions, joint ventures and investments.
• Strong construction and commercial contracting experience.
• Experience handling complex negotiations and disputes.
• Proven ability to advise CEOs, Boards, shareholders and investors.
• UAE/GCC experience strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial judgement.
• Excellent English; Arabic is an advantage.
