Role Purpose

As a Growth Ventures Intern, you will support strategic growth initiatives across the Umdasch Group by conducting market intelligence, scouting companies for M&A opportunities, and providing early-stage deal support within the built environment and construction technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Intelligence

• Conduct structured market and sector research on construction technology, built-environment innovation, and selected growth areas
• Monitor industry developments, market trends, and relevant startup and technology news
• Assist in maintaining market intelligence databases and tracking strategic developments across target sectors
• Map the external innovation ecosystem, including accelerators, venture funds, brokers, startup platforms, industry networks, and academic institutions

Startup Scouting & Opportunity Identification

• Support startup scouting, target identification, and opportunity mapping
• Support the evaluation of potential growth, partnership, investment, and acquisition opportunities

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership

• Support outreach initiatives, meeting preparation, and follow-up activities with external partners

Strategic Analysis & Documentation

• Prepare presentations, research summaries, and management materials for internal stakeholders
• Contribute to the preparation of internal business cases, opportunity assessments, and strategic reviews
• Synthesize information from multiple sources into concise insights and recommendations

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong interest in growth strategy, M&A, venture capital, startups, technology trends, and innovation ecosystems

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using AI-powered tools for research, documentation, and analysis
• Structured, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Additional Information

• The duration and working model can be adapted based on the candidate's availability and academic commitments
• Position open to students in their final year joining on a part-time basis alongside their studies, or recent graduates available for full-time internship experience
• Car and UAE driver's license required
• UAE residency visa (student visa or family dependency) required to work in Dubai for the duration of the internship, minimum 6 months
