Role Overview
Graduate Civil Engineer position with Wood PLC in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects while developing skills and gaining valuable industry experience.

Role Purpose
To contribute to the design and delivery of large and complex energy projects for high-profile clients while developing professional competence in civil engineering practices, technical interpretation, and practical application of industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution and Design
- Demonstrate graduate level understanding of engineering practices, design methods and calculations.
- Comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to civil engineering discipline.
- Prepare and interpret applicable technical information and suggest design changes to ensure functional and cost-effective results.
- Apply theory in practical context within assigned tasks.
Standards, Procedures and Compliance
- Demonstrate graduate level competence in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution.
- Demonstrate graduate level knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation.
- Demonstrate awareness of policies and procedures that affect specific job assignments.
Professional Development and Communication
- Prepare accurate, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports.
- Maintain knowledge of industry and technology development within civil engineering discipline area.
Technical Capability
- Demonstrate good level of general computer literacy and basic familiarity with relevant specialist engineering software.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
- Internship or relevant project experience (preferred).
- Eagerness to learn and develop as a professional engineer.
