Role Overview

The Mechanical Engineering Department at American International University Kuwait is seeking a Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering. This is a full-time academic position based in Kuwait.

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanical engineering.
• Develop and update course content and instructional materials.
• Supervise student projects and capstone work.

Research and Scholarship

• Conduct research in mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Mentor graduate students in research activities.

Service and Governance

• Participate in departmental committees and meetings.
• Contribute to program accreditation and quality assurance efforts.
• Engage in university service activities.

Student Mentorship and Advising

• Advise students on academic and career matters.
• Support student learning and professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level.
• Record of research and scholarly publications appropriate to the rank sought.
