Role Overview

American International University Kuwait is recruiting for Full Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The roles are based in Kuwait.

Role Purpose

The mathematics faculty members will lead academic programs in mathematics, deliver high-quality instruction across undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the intellectual development of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

• Teach mathematics courses at undergraduate and graduate levels according to assigned course load.
• Develop course content that meets learning outcomes and institutional standards.
• Design and deliver lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions.

Scholarship & Research

• Conduct original research in mathematics and related fields.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences.
• Supervise student research projects and mentor graduate students.

Service & Governance

• Serve on department and university committees.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic program planning.
• Participate in departmental meetings and institutional initiatives.

Professional Development

• Maintain current knowledge in mathematical disciplines and pedagogical practices.
• Pursue professional growth through continued learning and scholarly activity.

Qualifications & Experience

• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Mathematics or closely related field required.
• Academic teaching experience at the university level.
• Research record appropriate to the rank applied for (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor).
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in mathematics theory and applications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide students at multiple academic levels.
• Collaborative approach to academic work and committee participation.
