Foreman - Ducting

Role Overview

Foreman - Ducting at Al Shirawi Group. The role supervises and coordinates all ducting installation activities at the project site, ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements within the scheduled timeframe.

Role Purpose

To oversee ducting installation operations on site, directing technicians and helpers, coordinating with engineers and other trades, and ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Task Management

• Supervise and manage ducting installation works at site as per approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Allocate daily tasks to ducting technicians and helpers and monitor their productivity.
• Maintain records of manpower deployment, work progress, and material usage.

Installation & Technical Oversight

• Ensure proper installation of GI ducts, pre-insulated ducts, duct accessories, dampers, grilles, diffusers, and supports.
• Review drawings and identify material, manpower, and equipment requirements for daily activities.
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and rectify defects or non-conformities.

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with HVAC Engineers, Supervisors, and other trades to avoid work conflicts and ensure smooth progress.
• Monitor work progress and report daily activities to the Site Engineer/Supervisor.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections and approvals.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with approved method statements, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently.

Schedule & Delivery

• Ensure all ducting works are completed within the planned schedule.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Enforce company HSE policies and ensure safe working practices are followed by all workers.
• Attend toolbox talks and ensure the workforce complies with safety regulations.
