Food Runner / Assistant Waiter (For Fine Dining Restaurant)

Role Overview

Food Runner / Assistant Waiter at RISE Enterprise, supporting fine dining service operations.

Role Purpose

Support the smooth and efficient flow of service by transporting food and beverage orders between the kitchen, bar, and guest tables. Work under direct supervision of the Restaurant Supervisor to assist the waiting team in delivering a seamless, attentive, and elevated dining experience consistent with high-end service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management

• Collect food and beverage orders promptly from the kitchen and bar, verifying accuracy and presentation before delivering them to the correct guest table.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff to track order status and ensure timely delivery of dishes and drinks, especially during peak service periods.

Table Service

• Assist waiters and the Restaurant Supervisor with table setup, clearing, and resetting between courses and covers, maintaining a smooth service flow.
• Support the service team with replenishing table essentials throughout the guest's dining experience.
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables promptly after guests depart, ensuring dining areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.

Knowledge & Standards

• Maintain full knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation, to assist waiters in delivering dishes to the correct guest and table.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and grooming standards, and report any service issues or guest concerns to the Restaurant Supervisor.

Operations

• Perform related tasks required for the operation as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a food runner, busser, or assistant waiter, preferably within a high-end restaurant or hotel environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Physical stamina and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge.
