Role Overview

Follow Spot Operator based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with The Production Team. The role is a short-term contract position running Thursday 13th February through Friday 14th February.

Role Purpose

The Follow Spot Operator plays a vital role in maintaining timing, cue accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency during live performances.

Key Responsibilities

Live Event Operations

• Support live event productions in Jeddah with ground control expertise.
• Maintain precise timing and cue accuracy throughout performances.
• Execute follow spot operations with focus and consistency during long show hours.
• Uphold safety and operational efficiency standards during live productions.

Communication & Coordination

• Deliver clear, calm, and precise verbal communication under pressure.
• Collaborate effectively with team members in fast-paced live event environments.
• Follow show calling processes and respond to cues with accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior experience in Ground Control, Follow Spot Operations, or similar live event lighting roles.
• Strong understanding of live show cueing and timing.
• Experience working on concerts, festivals, theater productions, or large-scale live events preferred.
• Previous work in high-pressure or broadcast-style environments preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal communication skills: clear, calm, and precise under pressure.
• Familiarity with lighting terminology and follow spot workflows.
• Knowledge of lighting control systems and show calling processes preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced live event environments.
• Strong teamwork skills and professional attitude.
• Ability to remain focused during long show hours.
