Senior Fire Engineer (Fire Alarms and other Electrical Systems) at Jensen Hughes, based in Khobar, supporting a wide range of projects across the Middle East.

Role Purpose
Design, verify, and support the engineering of electrical and electronic fire protection and life safety systems, including fire alarm and detection systems, mass notification, suppression, smoke control, and special hazard systems across Middle East projects. The role encompasses the design, construction, testing and commissioning phases of modern active fire protection systems and may involve installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in the field of fire and life safety.
Key Responsibilities
Verification and Design Review
- Verify design of electrical, fire protection and life safety, and specialty engineering systems including fire alarm and detection systems, mass notification, suppression, smoke control, and special hazard systems.
- Review relevant submission packs for compliance with regulatory requirements, including Building Code reviews and analyses.
Technical Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and present technical reports, assessments and design review cycles.
- Develop clear and technically sound engineering strategies and assessment review results with excellent written and spoken communication.
Site and Project Management
- Plan and perform site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems.
- Plan resource allocation and direct engineering activities for projects directly administered by the Engineer.
Regulatory Engagement
- Engage and liaise with regulatory and approving authorities at various stages of design, construction and handover of projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Accredited bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related engineering field.
- 10+ years of experience in design and layout of electrical systems, mainly fire alarm systems.
- Verifiable and demonstrated knowledge of design practices and approvals in the Middle East for Building Code and Life Safety requirements.
- FLS experience preferred.
